First Year

Sometimes, Time flies by so fast that you're left lying flat on the ground with no air to breathe. And you wonder, where did all those days go? Playing hide-and-seek with the pixies? Or swimming with the mermaids?

Wasn't it merely a day ago that I just walked through those old ivory gates and up the path that led to university? It was only a day ago, I swear. Yet at the same time, it felt like years passed me by. Truthfully, my first day was around mid February. And now it's near the end of October. Next week is officially my last week of first year university. Time flies by when you're adapting to change and meeting new people.

To think that all these wonderful bonds were made less than a year ago. And now I can't imagine my life without them. So many peaceful days spent inside that room that's too noisy to be called the "Quiet room". And afternoons spent climbing trees with trails of ants marching on its bark. I love those breezy night walks back to the train station while avoiding giant spiders and their traps. And those trips to raid the Korean store for exotic ice cream flavours that drip colours in the sun. I love all those days.

But.
I can't wait for my long deserved holiday.
